Gunde Heart Box

What treasures will you keep in your Gunde Heart Box? Eye mask and ear plugs on the bedside table. Collected gems or rocks on a shelf. Jewelry in the cupboard, maybe even recipe cards. You decide.

The two stylized hearts are intricately hand‒carved along the box's top. Ethically handcrafted in small batches of fast‒growing mango wood by artisans in India working with Noah's Ark International Exports. What began in 1986 out of one family's home in Moradabad, is now a business of 20 independent fair trade workshops.

About Ten Thousand Villages:

The name Ten Thousand Villages — was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s quote. Because in every village are people who want to live a meaningful life with dignity and who bring beautiful culture worth sharing. Multiply the village idea by ten thousand and it represents the world we’re working to build.
